Reappointment of SNPF Chief Executive
Cabinet has approved the reappointment of Faumuina Esther Lameko-Poutoa as Chief Executive Officer for the Samoa National Provident Fund.
This is Faumuina’s third consecutive term in office. She was first appointed in 2008.
The vacancy was advertised for public interest and only Faumuina submitted an application.
After assessment, an interview of the applicant was conducted by the Board of Directors after which a recommendation was submitted to Cabinet for its final decision.
Faumuina has served in the public sector for over 21 years. She is a Certified Accountant and a member of the Executive Council of the Samoa Institute of Accountants and works as a Director on a number of Boards promoting the interests of SNPF.
She holds a Masters Degree in Business & Technology from the University of New South Wales and Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of the South Pacific.
Faumuina hails from the villages of Sapunaoa and Fasitoo Tai. She also serves as a Deacon for the New Wine Worship Centre Church. She is married with five children.
