Relief fund for Solomon Islands
Cabinet has approved relief fund of SBD$50,000.00 for the Solomon Islands to assist with relief and recovery work from the recent flooding that affected the country.
The fund has been remitted directly to the Government of Solomon Islands.
Reports confirmed that there were casualties from this natural disaster. Reports also indicated significant damage to homes, properties and the country’s infrastructure.
A relief fund of $50,000.00 Paanga was also given to the Tongan Government at the beginning of this year to assist with recovery work after Cyclone Ian.
