MULINU’U, 28 AUGUST 2020—- Terrestrial Analogue TV Broadcast in Samoa will be completely switched- off on 31 August 2020. With this, the entire country will transition fully to the Digital TV Transmission.
The Digital TV transmission provides sharper image, high quality sound and interactive TV services that will spur future economic, social and educational needs of the country and its people.
The final cessation of the analogue TV transmission will take place on 31 August 2020, marking a historical moment for the country in marching towards digitalization of the broadcasting landscape, signifying the end of analogue TV transmission in Samoa that was commissioned in 1993.
