[PRESS RELEASE – Jaipur, India 20th March 2025] – The Chief Executive Officer of Samoa Post Ltd. participated in the Asia-Pacific Postal Leadership Forum held in Jaipur, India, from 19th March to 21st March, 2025. The forum brought together Postmasters General, CEOs, and Ministers from across the Asia-Pacific region to prepare for the upcoming Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress in September 2025.
As one of the presenters, the Samoa Post CEO delivered a compelling presentation titled “Strengthening the Postal Network – Provision of Government and Social Services through Post Offices.” The presentation highlighted Samoa Post Ltd.’s current services, its alignment with the Samoan government’s vision for affordable and accessible postal services for all citizens, and its crucial role in government operations and social service delivery.
The CEO also addressed challenges facing the postal sector in Samoa and presented strategic recommendations for improvement, emphasizing collaboration with the government and leveraging support from the UPU to ensure the postal industry’s productivity and sustainability. Samoa, alongside fellow Pacific island nations Tonga and Vanuatu, presented their unique experiences and perspectives at the forum.
In recognition of their contributions, all presenters received a plaque of appreciation from the UPU and the Indian government. The Samoa Post CEO’s participation underscores Samoa’s commitment to strengthening its postal network and its active role within the international postal community.
